There are a few things which may cause you to become disconnected:

You may have been disconnected due to a non-payment.

The line going to your house may be down or being repaired. DSL lines are suceptible to weather changes (such as temperature and precipitation)

The network interface card in your computer may be broken or malfunctioning.

The DSL modem may be broken or malfunctioning. (You can try unplugging the power to it and plugging it back in to reset the modem)
